How to release your faith through words

How many of you understand that what you say will determine what God will give you? I don’t think many people do get this because I hear so many negative words and worries coming from people’s mouths. “You’ll fall if you do that!“ “I’ll die of fright if that happens.” “I’m afraid this will be the death of me.” “Over my dead body!” “I’ll never be able to do that!” “I could never expect xx to happen.” My own father didn’t understand this principle and used to say “3 score years and 10 and I’ll be out of here” and just as he predicted, he died 2 months past turning 70.

Jesus actually left us instructions about this principle of speaking anything into existence. In Mark 11 Jesus had cursed the fig tree and 24 hours later the disciples noted that it was dead, right down to its roots. In v20 we have Peter expressing shock that the fig tree had actually withered and died.

Jesus used this incident to teach the disciples the principle of how faith operates. “Whosoever (in case you missed it, that means any one of us) tells this hill to get up and throw itself into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him” v23. Just in case you missed that point Jesus repeated it clearly: “When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it and you will be given whatever you ask for” v24.

If you grab hold of this very simple yet profound truth to declare and believe in your heart, you will have the miraculous power of God.

Father, we declare your provision, we declare Your healing, we declare Your restoration, and we praise You for Your faithfulness to us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
