God's wrath is coming

Make no mistake about it – the Bible is full of prophecies stating that the God’s day of wrath is coming. The wickedness in this world will be dealt with once and for all and that day is not far off.

“Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the LORD is coming, for it is at hand” (Joel 2:1 NKJV).

God is going to deal with sin and the godlessness and unrighteousness of men. Now is the time to change your ways and turn to Jesus. If you truly repent, and receive Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, then God will forgive you and take away any punishment that you deserved.

Jesus took your punishment. The words of Paul summarise what Jesus did for us so beautifully:

“…righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus” (Rom. 3:22-26 NIV).

This is telling us that God makes no discrimination between one person and another person. All He wants is for us to acknowledge that we are a sinner and to turn to Jesus. Jesus took our sins on Him and carried them to the cross where he suffered and died so that you don’t have to.

The day of opportunity to repent and turn to Jesus is now. There are so many events happening in this world that are warning us that time is running out and that shortly there will be “the day of the LORD. ..great and very terrible. Who can endure it?” (Joel 2:11 NKJV). Don’t hesitate.
