More blessings in Jesus than Adam lost

Jesus came to heal the world. He came to heal your diseases. He came to heal you of sin. Looking to Jesus on the pole is all that He asks us to do to receive these blessings.

I especially like these words of a well-known 17th century hymn:

”Where he displays his healing power Death and the curse are known no more; In him the tribes of Adam boast More blessings than their father lost.”

Our redemption in Jesus has given us far more blessings than Adam originally possessed in creation. Salvation is not only a matter of Paradise Regained. In Christ we have far exceeded that Paradise. We are in limitless, boundless Paradise infinitude. Unlike Adam, we are now seated in the heavenlies with our Deliverer who saved us: He has made us not only whole and healthy, but kings and priests to reign with Him for eternity.

But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus” (Eph 2:4-6 NLT).

All of this came about because we simply put our trust in Jesus. "Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us." (Rom. 5:1) We have been declared righteous which means we no longer walk around in sin, fear and condemnation. We are reigning as kings now, not afraid of death, sin, judgment, the devil or sickness. Nothing!

Do you understand that you are walking in victory? “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us” (Rom. 8:37 NIV). Don’t tolerate anything else than the wholeness and healthiness that Jesus won for us and walk as a king with your head held high. Trust in our Lord and serve Him with all the devotion and gratitude that He deserves.

Lord Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross, and took away our sins. We put our trust in You and want to love, serve and obey You to the best of our ability. Thank You for restoring to us all the blessings that Adam lost and then elevating us to reign with You. May we uphold Your wonderful name all the days of our lives, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
