I’m going to say something that will surprise you. Jesus does not heal today! He demonstrated healing power when He was on the earth but when He went to heaven He passed that authority over sickness and afflictions on to us. “Behold, I have given you authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:19 NASB).
So how does that work? You simply SPEAK to the problem with authority! Jesus demonstrated how to do this when He took authority over the figtree. He cursed it for not having any fruit on it and over the course of a day it withered and died. He told His disciples that if they used their authority and told a mountain to throw itself into the sea, it would.
If you are sick, curse the sickness and release life into yourself in the name of Jesus. In my book, The Power You Have Available, I shared how I refused to share my terminal prognosis with anyone other than Pete. I knew the authority I had, I stood on that authority and told anyone who wanted to listen that Jesus was going to heal me.
Was I acting against what Jesus taught us? Was I being dishonest? Was I not facing the facts? No! Recall how Jesus heard that Lazarus had died and Jesus never mentioned the fact that Lazarus had died to His disciples. He kept talking about Lazarus sleeping until the disciples, who were still learning how to stand on their faith, misunderstood so Jesus had to tell them plainly that Lazarus had died but He then added the positive affirmation that “ for your sake I am glad I was not there, so that you may believe” John 11:15). Lazarus’ death was not the end. Your sickness is not the end unless you state it to be.
We need to say, “This prognosis may be the fact but THIS is the truth in God’s Word” and not, “This is what the Word says but this is what the doctor has said”.
Just like the figtree took time to wither after Jesus cursed it, your disease may take time to wither away but stand firm on your declaration and wait for your healing to manifest.
