What does fear stop you from doing?

I was talking with an autistic woman this afternoon and she related that she was fearful of going to see a doctor. She wasn’t sick but she needed a check-up and there were various things in the medical environment that made her feel so uncomfortable and fearful that she would act up.

It is common for people to be in bondage to some fear put on them by the devil, but it doesn’t have to be like this. Jesus’ mission was to go about doing good and to heal all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). In the same way we are called upon to go about doing good, to openly proclaim the good news, to drive out demons in Jesus’ name and to lay hands on the sick and to heal them (Mark 16:15-20).

Sickness isn’t from God. Jesus didn’t make anyone sick, He only healed them. Because we are in Christ, we are called upon to do all the things that Jesus did. That means we are to pray for people until they are healed. P.U.S.H. Pray Until Something Happens. Sometimes this may take weeks, months or even years and sometimes we may never see the answer in this lifetime, but God, in His perfect wisdom, hears our prayers and answers them. Don't let the fear of the outcome stop you.

It is the presence of Jesus in the command that accomplishes what it was sent to do. It has nothing to do with us. We can pray for people who are far removed from us and we will see healings. In our little house church last week we heard accounts of people being instantly healed across cities, countries and continents. Don't let the fear of not placing your hands on someone for them to be healed stop you.

Don’t let fear stop you from praying for people and asking them to be healed. Don’t let fear stop you from commanding the devil to flee from people’s lives in Jesus’ name. Don’t let fear stop you from going out and doing good.
