Was Charlie Kirk a good man?

Since Jesus is styled “the word made flesh” (John 1:14), I believe that every word that Jesus speaks has a background in the Old Testament. Sometimes the link ups are obvious and sometimes it needs the Holy Spirit to guide and enlighten.
So it was when I read the following words of Jesus:
Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is recognised and judged by its fruit. You brood of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart. The good man, from his [inner] good treasure, brings out good things; and the evil man, from his [inner] evil treasure, brings out evil things. (Matt. 12:33-35 AMP)
How are we to understand the good man bringing good things out of his heart? All my life I had thought that this meant kind, wholesome, profitable words and this is the view adopted by most commentators. That’s all well and good but Jesus wants us to go a step further and I believe His words are linked to these in Proverbs:
He who leans on and trusts in and is confident in his riches will fall, But the righteous [who trust in God’s provision] will flourish like a green leaf. He who troubles (mismanages) his own house will inherit the wind (nothing),And the foolish will be a servant to the wise-hearted. The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity]. (Prov. 11:28-30 AMP).
Did you see that? The fruit of the lips that comes from a good man are words that capture and win souls for God!
In a week where the world has been shaken by the assassination of a young Christian man – assassinated because he spoke the truth of God without compromise – let’s look at the good words that he spoke to capture and win souls for God:
Charlie Kirk was a faithful witness for Jesus who taught all over the world that we all need Jesus. In 4 words he taught the Gospel as: Jesus took my place. He taught repentance and accepting Jesus as your Saviour and receiving the beautiful gift of grace. He warned that a time of judgment is coming and that we all need that grace to escape damnation.
Preaching the Gospel is not limited to a few bold and courageous voices, for Jesus urges us all to go and win souls for Jesus.
He said to them (the disciples), “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. (Mark 16:15 AMP).
This is not an option. This is a command and it gives meaning to the parable that Jesus told of a man taking a journey and calling his servants together and entrusting them with his possessions, in differing amounts, according to their varying abilities. Even the servant who only received one talent was expected to go out and increase the value of that talent. There are no excuses for indolence – for not using whatever Jesus has entrusted us with. We are all to go out and win souls for Jesus.
Jesus offers the final word on these thoughts:
For to everyone who has [and values his blessings and gifts from God, and has used them wisely], more will be given, and [he will be richly supplied so that] he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have [because he has ignored or disregarded his blessings and gifts from God], even what he does have will be taken away. (Matt. 25:29 AMP).
